Cordele Police caught a robbery suspect who returned to the scene of the crime on Saturday but are still looking for his accomplice.
Sergeant Robert Montgomery responded to a smashed front window at the S&S Food Mart and decided to stay and watch the store for any further suspicious activity. Sergeant Montgomery saw two masked men attempt to enter the store a little while later and called for backup.
The two men fled on food but police were able to apprehend 24-year-old Steve Williams Jr. Williams is charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary, Obstruction and Possession of Toll for the Commission of a Crime.
Police believe Williams may be connected to a string of other recent burglaries and are currently working to tie him to them.
Officers are still trying to locate the second suspect.
