ALBANY,GA --
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a narcotics dog with the Warwick Police Department.

The dog, Sasha, was found dead in the backseat of a patrol unit September third.

The dog's handler, Lt. Thomas Frye told investigators the dog was afraid of lightning and must have gotten into the car, but could not get back out.

Frye and his family were out of town at the time the death happened.

The Georgia Humane Society is also looking for Frye to possibly have felony charges brought against him.
