GBI identifies body found in Flint River

ALBANY, GA. --
The body recovered from the Flint River on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, has been identified as Albany State University student Taylor Clayton Terrell. 

Taylor Terrell went missing Saturday, September 15, 2012 around 6:00 p.m.

After an investigation, the identification was made by a GBI Medical Examiner at the Macon regional lab using dental records provided by the victim’s family.

The Medical Examiner determined that Taylor died as a result of drowning.

This case is still being investigated by the Albany State University Police Department, the Albany Police Department, and the GBI Regional Office in Sylvester.
