Albany police have arrested 31-year-old Victor Bernard Roberts in relation to two burglaries.

The first incident was early Saturday morning at Short & Paulk in the 400 block of North Cleveland Street.  According to police nothing was taken.

Saturday evening an off duty police investigator spotted Roberts hiding behind one of the columns at the Shoe Depot at 139 North Slappey Boulevard.  Once Investigator Darrell Jones called the suspicious man into dispatch, Roberts began to move and the investigator followed him.  After receiving back up from an on-duty cop Roberts was arrested at the corner of South Davis Street and West Whitney Avenue in possession of stolen items including 20 Jordan t-shorts, 3 pair of socks, 5 necklaces, and one pair of Jordan shoes.

Roberts is now in the Dougherty County Jail.
