ALBANY, GA --
The Second Annual Kickin’ it for a Cure was held Saturday to benefit Carrie Turner – a 16-year-old who was diagnosed with leukemia last year.

The event featured a softball tournament that raised over $950 for the high school cheerleader who is currently traveling to Atlanta from Cuthbert for her treatments.

Those who participated say the event was a success; Brooks Dental took home the first place trophy and Guys and Dolls celebrated second place.
