ALBANY, GA -- Mayor of Tifton, Jamie Cater, was at the Tifton Mall Friday to honor "Alzheimer's awareness month."

Mayor Cater expressed his excitement to be part of the event, and also his hope to find a cure for this disease.

"I support Alzheimer's, I support all the things these fine people do in our community, and all around Georgia, and all around the United States," said Cater.

The Mayor went on to announce that September 21st will officially be named, "Alzheimer's Awareness Day" in Tifton from here on out.
