ALBANY, GA --

Mission Changed teamed up with Second Harvest Food Bank for September's monthly mission.

In recognition of Hunger Action Month, a team of 140 volunteers helped pack 1,800 boxes of food. Each package contained canned goods, and other non-perishable items. The event gave people a chance to help fix a problem in our community.

"Having 140 volunteers share their morning and not sit around and talk about what could be done and what needs to be done, (instead) they're doing it, they're taking action", said Ladonna Urick, founder of Mission Change.

Next Month Mission is heading back to Second Harvest, this time to pack up 3000 boxes.
