ALBANY, GA --

Back in June, Albany Mayor, Dorothy Hubbard, called citizens to action, asking them to take responsibility for keeping a particular part of the city clean.

Saturday morning the Mayor held another "Call to Service" for all the citizens who signed up for the program.

The meeting provided information and resources to those in attendance, so they would be better prepared to keep the community clean.

This is a way for us to work together to do it. And I think the other part of it, and it may be the biggest part ultimately is the building of community, these people, they love their neighborhood and they know other neighborhoods are doing the same thing. I think it kind of builds and grows and becomes a synergy within the city, said the Assistant City Manager, Wes Smith
