DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- An Albany juvenile probation officer is behind bars after severely burning his wife with curling a curling iron.
Samuel Watts is being held without bond in the Dougherty County Jail.
Authorities say on August 27th his wife was preparing to leave the home when the two got into an argument.
Michelle Watts was allegedly dragged across a room and pinned down as her husband began to burn her with a hot curling iron.
The victim suffered deep burns and has sought medical attention.
“According to the nurse, some of the burns could be third degree burns. She has seen a burn doctor, so the actual degree of burns is unofficial right now,” says Dougherty County Police Detective Chad Kirkpatrick.
Samuel Watts is facing three charges which include aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
