ALBANY, GA. --

Albany's city manager has released the name of the most qualified candidate to head as director over Albany’s Planning and Development Services.

Paul Forgey has emerged as the best qualified candidate for the position.

Forgey is currently the planning manager for Glynn County Board of Commissioners.

The candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation and a Master of Public Administration degree.

Although he's been named as most qualified candidate, officials say 14 days must pass before there is a final action on selecting someone for the position.
