Road work on U.S. 19/S.R. 3 begins Monday

ALBANY --
The Georgia Department of Transportation will begin road work on U.S. 19 and State Route 3 Monday morning. The maintenance will begin at 7:30 a.m. and last until 5:30 p.m. every day through Thursday if weather permits.

During the road work, the shoulders will be closed and crew members may close one of the lanes.

The department is asking drivers to slow down at the maintenance site to ensure the safety of crew members.
