A 6 year, 15,000 mile walk to the steps of all 50 state capitals is quite the impressive journey.

This is the trek 51 year old Marine Corps Veteran, Mac McQuown, is currently on.

Just about one year and 1,300 miles into his adventure McQuown is passing through Southwest Georgia on his journey to honor fallen and wounded Veterans.

"Over ten years ago when 9/11 happened, I noticed when our veterans came home from combat whether they had paid the ultimate price or they came home wounded, that they were soon forgotten about, and I wanted to do something to bring attention back to the veterans", said McQuown.

McQuown was on his way down to Florida when we called to talk to him. For more information on his journey visit MarineWalking.org.
