ALBANY --
In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know what health and safety regulations tattoo shops in our area have.
Heart and Dagger Tattoo Owner Brandon David says all tattoo shops in Georgia are regulated by the State and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) laws to keep up with certain tasks.
"We have a list of multiple things we have to do to pass our health inspections every year in the tattoo shop. Things from proper waste disposal, making sure that all of our equipment is sterilized properly, and the overall cleanliness of the tattoo shop,” said David.
The shop also has age restrictions on both tattoos and piercings to ensure the safety of customers. To get inked, you need to be at least 18 years old. To be pierced, you have to be at least 16 with parental consent if underage.
