Albany police looked into the entering auto cases and found the common thread was people leaving cars unlocked.

File
ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Police Department wants to remind people the importance of locking your car doors and securing your vehicle after multiple cases of entering auto occurred over the weekend.
On Saturday, Netherland Lane had three reported cases of entering auto where items including a purse, semi-automatic pistol, and an in-dash stereo face plate where stolen from different addresses out of an unsecured vehicle on the property.
On Longbow Drive and Indian Creek drive, three more cases of entering auto occurred with a wallet and Nike shoes being taken from vehicles on Longbow Drive and a Bible with carrying bag stolen from Indian Creek Drive.
Albany police say they have a juvenile suspect in custody in the Longbow Drive cases, but no charges have been filed yet.
