ALBANY, GA --
Students around Georgia will be experiencing higher prices for higher education in the coming months with new cuts announced.

Governor Nathan Deal announced $108 million dollars in cuts to the University System of Georgia, which will affect students throughout the state.

Albany Technical College has also experienced a decrease in enrollment over the summer, and is hoping to rebound in the Fall.

"A little bit, we have seen a little bit of a decline, for summer term we were down just a little bit, but for fall numbers, we're hopeful that we'll be able to get to 4,000 students enrolled. Last year we had about 4,700 students and we're currently at 3,300 students," said Wendy Howell, Public Relations Manager for Albany Technical College.

Georgia Education officials have said with all these cuts, it's nearly impossible to avoid hurting students throughout the state.
