ALBANY, GA --
Local leaders met again Wednesday morning with Economic Development leaders to talk about their five-year plan to bring more jobs and industry to southwest Georgia.

At the last meeting, they helped identify the strengths and weaknesses of the area.

Wednesday they were brainstorming ideas on how to improve our community and developing strategies to accomplish the EDC's goals.

“It's important to us because we need community buy-in. And we have a good cross section of the community here today helping us with this and if they're helping us design it, hopefully they'll help support us as we try to implement it,” says EDC President Ted Clem.

There will be a board of director's retreat next week to refine it and hopefully they'll have a completed document by the end of the month to share with the community.
