ALBANY, GA. --
To culminate this year's faculty and staff conference, Albany State University held a community carnival and business expo.

Different businesses from within the area were on board to showcase products and goods that they have to offer.

Representatives with the college say their partnership with local business is essential since many faculty members and students are not from the southwest Georgia area.

This is the school's first community carnival and they say bringing educators together before school starts is the key to a successful year at Albany State University.

School officials say they look forward to having a carnival and business expo once every quarter.
