ALBANY, GA -- Tim Nelson officially filed the paperwork Friday to run against Rick Muggridge for Lee County Commission.

The independent candidate stated, that he feels the people of Lee County are ready for a change.

"I think the people are ready for a change, I think the election over in Redbone sort of showed that Lee County citizens are ready for a change and their really not happy especially with the garbage issue, and Rick Muggridge is the one who proposed that, so I think that kind of set the tone with the people of Lee County," said Nelson.

Nelson is running under the slogan, "smaller government and lower taxes," a system that he hopes the citizens of Lee County will embrace and vote for.
