ALBANY, GA --
Albany police are on the lookout for two
armed robbery
suspects after an early Thursday purse snatching.
Investigators say 55-year-old Lenora Chapman and 50-year-old Joe Coat were walking south on Easman Drive near the intersection with South Street when two suspects jumped out and held them at gunpoint with a shotgun. The suspects took the female victim's purse and then fled on foot.
Officers say they canvassed the area and were unable to locate the suspects.
The suspects were both black males wearing dark clothing. One suspect is 5'4 while the other is 5'8. The 5'8 suspect also wore a scarf over his face and was wielding the shotgun.
If you have any information you’re asked to call the
Albany Police Department
or
