With summer coming to an end, Summer fest 2012 was held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church

Families were invited to the church where free schools supplies and lunch were given out to everyone who attended.

Those who wanted to cool off, could take a trip down a giant inflatable waterslide.

Carla Hunter from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church said, "We just know that during these rough economical times anything that you can do is a great help to some people. So we just wanted people to come out and let them know we are concerned about them."

Since the start of the event in 2010, Summer Fest has grown considerably attracting multiple vendors and sponsors in its third year.
