ALBANY, GA --
heat advisory was issued Wednesday warning Southwest Georgians that the thermostat may be creeping into the triple digits.

With so many health concerns related with excess heat, we spoke with Dr. Daniel Yacono for the best ways to beat the heat.

"Take time for yourself, replenish your fluids, try and find a place with cold water. You could find some ice, and these kind of things, and assist in decelerating the heat loss process," said Dr. Yacono.

Temperatures are expected to continue to rise over the next several days, and into the late days of August.
