ALBANY, GA --
The Dougherty County Kiwanis Club welcomed Postmaster Ron Bradley of Albany to their Monday gathering.

Bradley spoke on multiple issues regarding the history and future of the United States Postal Service, and also addressed the new business hours some residents have been experiencing.

"Smaller offices will go from an 8-hour day to either a 2-hour, 4-hour, or 6-hour a day office depending on the amount of revenue being generated. So people may be seeing their office in rural areas, with reduced operating hours," said Bradley.

With the ever-growing internet mailing systems, Bradley says the Post Office is in a rough time in their history, and hopes it can rebound in the coming years.
