ALBANY, GA -- First Update (7/20/12)
Albany police say that Zantailus is doing well and has been transported to Atlanta for further care.

Initial Story
Albany police have released some details on the near drowning that happened shortly after noon on Thursday.

Officials with the Albany Police Department say that officers responded to 918 Riley Street in reference to a possible cardiac arrest of three-year-old Zantailus Michens. EMS reported child was found unresponsive and unconscious by the mother, 22-year-old Audriana Jenkins.  The child was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in critical condition and his status is unknown at this time. 

Albany police say the case has been transferred to investigations and remains open and active.
