ALBANY, GA --
The Economic Development Commission is striving to bring more jobs and businesses to the area.

Last week they invited business and community leaders to brainstorm and discuss reasons for and against moving a business to Albany in order to find strengths and weaknesses.

Positives included our low cost of living, great business climate and good labor market.

Negatives include a poor self image and the division caused by socioeconomic and racial differences.

They will hold another joint discussion with community leaders August eighth.
