ALBANY, GA --
The Dougherty County Rotary Club welcomed new president Karen Kemp as their speaker during a luncheon Tuesday afternoon.
Kemp announced her new board and spoke about where she wants to take the club in the future - which includes plenty of service projects.
"Our international theme this year is "Peace through Service" and we really believe that communities and countries in the world is changed when people serve. Our motto is service above self and that characterizes the work of Rotarians all across the world," said Kemp.
Kemp has an event planned that will put age appropriate books in the hands of children but she also says the club will participate in an international project for the first time.
