MOULTRIE, GA -- UPDATE --> 12:10 a.m. July 4, 2012

Moultrie Police Chief Frank Lang says the standoff just wrapped up and ended successfully without anyone getting hurt.

UPDATE --> 10:00 p.m.

Law enforcement have been at a home on the corner of southeast 11th Court and 5th Street in Moultrie since the early afternoon. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Moultrie Police and State Troopers are still on the scene.

Family members of the man who barricaded himself inside the home say he is legally blind and that he has been coping with the death of his mother.

The SWAT team is being called in and media is being pushed farther from the scene in case they need to take action.

Moultrie Police are involved in a standoff at 11th Court Southeast.

Multiple law enforcement agencies including Moultrie Police, Colquitt County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are on the scene.  Neighbors tell us that the man involved in the incident is blind.
