DOUGLAS, GA -- The
Douglas Police Department
needs your help in finding two men that helped beat and shoot a man.
On June 26th 2012, officers with the department say they responded to The Fountain Inn in reference to gunshots being heard and a possible fight at the location. Officers were informed that a person, whose name was unknown at the time, had possibly been assaulted while at the motel and then forced to leave with the offenders. A short time later, Denzel Akeem Pace was located at the motel and was identified as the victim in this case. According to Pace, he was shot at by an unknown person while walking on a nearby city street. He ran to the motel and was later assaulted by several persons unknown to him. After the assault, he was forced to leave with the individuals and was again assaulted at another location.
Authorities say that as a result of the investigation, warrants have been issued for 22-year-old Cameron Lamar Landers, 29-year-old James Henry Young, 27-year-old Robert Lee Poke, and 29-year-old Jamale Matthew Jefferson. Landers and Poke have been arrested and are presently in the Coffee County Jail. Young and Jefferson are still currently at large. All have been charged with battery and kidnapping, while James Henry Young has also been charged with aggravated assault.
If anyone has information on the whereabouts of James Henry Young or Jamale Matthew Jefferson they are asked to call the
Douglas Police Department
at (912)384-2222 or the tips line at (912)260-3600.
