ALBANY, GA -- An Albany man was shot after answering his door early Monday morning.

Albany police say that the shooter knocked on the door of 610 Burke Street in Albany around 2:30 AM Monday. When 30-year-old Corey Jackson answered the door, the suspect made demands and fired a shot at the victim after Jackson attempted to shut the front door.

The man was hit in the left arm and police say they believe the weapon used may have been a shotgun. Jackson was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
