ALBANY, GA --
Albany State University and the National Youth Sports Program held a career fair for children ages 8 through 16 to get a head start on thinking about their future.

Kids spoke to working adults in fields such as health care, security, cosmetology and more to get an idea of what is expected in these lines of work.

"All of this was done to help students, to improve their lives, to help them want to become productive citizens,” said Rose Baldwin, who coordinated the event.

It’s the NYSP's 37th year running events but the first year - of what organizers hope to be many - holding the career fair.
