In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know some tips on summer home maintenance.
Fox 31 spoke to Home Depot who says there are some easy ways to make sure you're heading into the summer season prepared - but one thing stands out among the rest.
"Your air conditioning unit is probably one of your most important things you need to do. Keep your filters checked, keep them clean, and possibly get somebody out as soon as you possibly can before summer really hits because they do get backed up,” said Jason Lodge, an electrical associate at Home Depot.
Lodge also says to check the insulation around your windows, walls and ceilings because they are the prime spot to let heat in the quickest.
Some other tips include removing any combustible cans from your garage, which acts as an oven during the hottest months, and water proofing your deck or porch with a sealant or lacquer to get the most use out of it.
