DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA --
The Dougherty County Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at the Pitt Stop Mobile Home Park on Tuesday evening.

Police say 22-year-old Jacolvie Curry was attempting to purchase narcotics from 33-year-old Sederrick Culbreth, but Culbreth had other plans.

"Mr. Culbreth attempted to rob Mr. Curry and a fight ensued. During the fight, Mr. Culbreth was shot,” said Sergeant Chad Kirkpatrick.

Culbreth is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Police are further investigating charging both men for the selling and purchasing of narcotics.
