Albany Police uncover the real reason a man was shot

Thursday June 7, 2012 Marquez Young told police that he got into an argument with the driver of a blue or black Ford Mustang that turned physical. That altercation resulted in Young being shot near the ankle. Police say they’ve since figured out the real story.
According to police - the real story is that Young was arguing with a female who accidentally fired a gun. That bullet ricocheted off the pavement and hit Young near the ankle.
Young has been arrested and charged with false report of a crime and false statements and writings.
