ALBANY, GA --
The Dougherty County Rotary Club met Tuesday, welcoming guest speaker Robert Collins, president of NEOS technology.

Collins spoke to the club on 4G technologies and cloud computing. With Albany residents in the dark when it comes to technological advances, Collins shed a ray of hope that Albany will soon be up to speed with the rest of the country.

"As we move forward as a city, our county, and our businesses. Cloud computing is going to allow us to take advantage of computer platforms," said Collins.

However the real question on the minds of many business owners, will the community be receptive to these new technologies?

"I think we have to be, because it's the next level, it's already here. I'm excited to hear about 4g coming to town, and seeing technology improve in general," said local business owner William Collins.

The President of the Rotary Club, Crisp Gatewood, agreed that not only would it be a huge step for the community, but also for the members of the Rotary.

"The business leaders that we have in this club, want to stay on top of technology and stay competitive with other businesses, it was good for him to come and get us up to speed."

With both Verizon and AT&T looking to upgrade their services, Albany businesses will soon be spending most of their time, on the cloud.
