ALBANY, GA --

ALBANY – Several students from the Albany area graduated this spring from the Darton College Nursing Program with Associate of Science degrees.  They were recognized during the traditional nurse pinning ceremony, which took place at the Cavalier Arena on May 3, 2012. The students are noweligible to take the licensing examination to become registered nurses.

            Albany graduates include Michael Lee, Beverly Fowler, Mallory Janes, Levania Davis, LeaOndrea Fisher, Rachel Hamsley, Veronica Jenkins, Sarah Claypool, Denise Cox, Crystal Everett, Amanda Harrah, LatoyaPettiford, Ashley Pruitt, Sharon Shernisky, Lavar Tate, Mark Wall, Ann Macolly, Patricia Taylor, Emma Walker, Chakecia Walls, Katheryn Parr, Bradley Summerell, Tiara Thorne, Michael Kearse, and Summer Williams-Stokes.

Leesburg area graduates include Merry Arnau, Samantha Bessolo, David Fincher, Amanda Haire, Latrelle Akridge, Brandon Hoffman, Natasha Wynn, and Angel Redmond. Sylvester graduates include Tanisha Jones and Matthew Barksdale.

            Graduates from Darton’s nursing program consistently have among the highest first-time pass rates on the licensing exam in the state.  Darton’s program has provided more than 3,500 nurses to the Southwest Georgia area since the college opened its doors in 1966.
