ALBANY, GA --
Despite last year’s ban, the designer drug known as “bath salt” is still a problem locally.

Even though bath salts are no longer available in stores you can still find it on the street.

What makes cracking down on this man made drug especially hard is if the chemical compound is altered, even a little, the substance is no longer illegal.

George Camp, of the Albany Drug Unit, says "We’re seeing a lot of kids that you normally don't see in the drug trade so to speak. Their mentality is, because a lot of them don't know, that it's not an illegal drug, so as long as it’s not an illegal drug they think it's fine to do.

Police want to make sure you know it's not ok to do, and can cause serious complications.
