ALBANY, GA --
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard held a press conference Thursday morning in her office to issue a Call to Service.

Mayor Hubbard launched an initiative on February 24th to clean up litter and blighted properties so our community can thrive.

"We believe that that kind of lack of community pride and how we look affects our ability to be prosperous and improve economic development as well as to improve crime," said Hubbard.

On June 9th Mayor Hubbard will hold the Community Gathering's Call to Service at the Civic Center at 10 a.m., a day where people of all backgrounds and organizations join together and vow to clean up our community.

To register for the meeting, call 311 or visit www.albany.ga.us.
