ALBANY, GA --
The Georgia Wildlife Rescue Association is sponsoring a training class tomorrow morning to teach the public how to rescue a wild animal that has been hurt or orphaned.

The class will begin at 8:30 A.M. at the University of Georgia Conference Center in Tifton and will last throughout the afternoon.

The state of Georgia has lost a good portion of its wildlife rehabilitators, who usually operate out of pocket, due to the struggling economy.

"Our goal is to support Wildlife rehabilitators and anything that can save wildlife," said the Georgia Wildlife Rescue Association's Executive Director, Chet Powell.

Although there are less rehab organizations, there are more animals that need help than ever because of last year's mild winter.

If you can't make the class, go to GeorgiaWildlifeRescue.org to learn more about how you can donate your time or money to give these helpless animals a chance.
