The Dougherty County Police arrested a couple Friday night after a fight turned violent.

ALBANY, GA -- Officials say Travis Cochran and Nicole Jones were arguing over who would watch their child when Cochran kicked his girlfriend.  According to the police report Jones then grabbed a knife and attacked Cochran.  Since the incident happened in front of their child both will receive a ‘Cruelty to a Child’ charge.

Both are in jail and the child was released into the custody of a grandmother.

Jones faces aggravated assault and cruelty to a child charges while Cochran faces battery and cruelty to a child charges.
