ALBANY, GA --
A family is visiting Albany to retrace the steps their father took as Royal Air Force pilot.

James May’s late father Denis May trained as a Royal Air Force pilot under the Arnold Scheme in World War II. Today James and his wife, Grainne, will be visiting Albany to talk to members of the Royal Air Force Committee and view the historic sites that influenced his father’s life. They will receive the tour from Albany Royal Air Force Committee member Bob Drake.

‘This (trip) is a homage to my father 70 years after he visited the USA for the first time,’ writes May in the Albany Convention & Visitors Bureau press release. ‘My late parents had a wonderful time as a part of a 50 year reunion when they visited Albany in October 1991.’
