Accident stalls traffic on the Liberty Expressway

ALBANY, GA --

A gold, 1998 Mercury Marquis was traveling east on Liberty in the inside lane when the rear tires separated. He lost control and crossed the median where he was struck by a 1999 Cadillac Deville that was traveling westbound.  All three were taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges are pending.

The westbound lane of the Liberty Expressway near the Blaylock exit was temporarily shut down due to a crash around 5 p.m.

Police and first responders were on the scene of a two vehicle crash with multiple injuries.

Fox 31 was on scene and will bring you further details as they become available.
