Water, Gas, and Light starts to see light at end of economic tunnel

ALBANY, GA --
Water, Gas, and Light commission discussed fiances at its monthly board meeting.

Officials say they are starting to see revenue from the rate increase passed earlier this year.

In March, The Natural Gas Department had another bad month because of the mild winter.

On the other hand the Light Department is seeing some improvements.

John Vansant of Water, Gas, and Light says "this is the first month in about five months that the light department is doing better than what we have budgeted we are beginning in a small way to dig out of the whole that were in."

in the June, the commission say they"ll might have to use money from their reserve account which is normal this time of year.
