ALBANY, GA -- According to the Albany Police Department, a shooting occurred in the Family Dollar parking lot near Wal-Mart in east Albany.

Albany police say that 26-year-old Aretavis Washington walked into the Hot Dog King and saw the suspect. The two exchanged words and  at some point, the suspect walked out of the business. He went to his vehicle and retrieved a small caliber handgun. That's when Washington ran out the business and jumped into his Dodge Ram. At that point, the suspect fired several shots at the victim as he drove off. There have been no reported injuries from this incident.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a mid-2000 model white or pearl colored Mercedes with tinted windows. The occupants were described as a black male and female.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police are still searching for the vehicle and the suspects.
