ALBANY, GA --
The Economic Development Commission met for their April Board meeting to discuss logistics.
Executive Director Page Siplon from the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics gave a presentation on the resources that Albany has.
After the presentation, EDC Board Members discussed several ways to develop strategies to increase logistics opportunities locally.
EDC President Ted Clem says "whether it's buying products or selling products, logistics touches us in so many ways and honestly our economy cannot run without the right kind of infrastructure to support logistics."
The EDC plans to work with local companies and education systems to find ways to improve and market what we currently have.
