ALBANY, GA --
FOX 31 has learned that the President of Albany Technical College is battling a serious health issue.

A re-occurrence of Lymphoma has Dr. Anthony Parker heading for treatment.

According to our media partner the Albany Herald, he's expected to undergo stem cell transplant surgery at Emory University in Atlanta.

Albany Tech confirms President Parker will adjust his schedule over the next few months, and that he hopes to return to working full-time by the beginning of September.

FOX 31 wishes him all the best in getting better.
