ALBANY, GA -- An overnight shooting has put an Albany man in the hospital with a wound to his stomach.

Albany police say that  43-year-old Harold Lawrence was shot at his home on 201 Patrol Drive.

Authorities say the man heard a knock at his door and the person asked for his son. Lawrence did not open the door but yelled that his son was not home. He looked out the peep hole to see who it was and then suspects fired several shots into his home.

Lawrence was struck once in the stomach and taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The suspects were described as four black males possibly traveling in a white Lincoln Town Car and a Black Ford pickup truck.
