The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced multiple road work projects for the first week in April that motorists in Southwest Georgia need to keep an eye out for, including
- Removing the yield sign on U.S. 82/S.R. 520 for right turns onto Cookville Road. These intersection improvements will include striping in a stop bar on the right turn lane of U.S. 82/S.R. 520 to Cookville Road. Motorists turning right from U.S. 82/S.R. 520 onto Cookville Road will need to stop behind the stop bar when required and follow the guidance of the traffic signal.
- Removing the yield sign on S.R. 520 Business at Radium Springs Road. These intersection improvements will include striping in a stop bar on the right turn lane of S.R. 520 Business to Radium Springs Road. Motorists turning right from S.R. 520 Business onto Radium Springs Road will need to stop behind the stop bar when required and follow the guidance of the traffic signal.
- Removing the yield sign on eastbound S.R. 32/Robert B. Lee Drive for right turns onto southbound U.S. 19/S.R. 3 Bypass. These intersection improvements will include striping in a stop bar on the right turn lane of eastbound S.R. 32/Robert B. Lee Drive for right turns onto southbound U.S. 19/S.R. 3 Bypass. Motorists turning right from eastbound S.R. 32/Robert B. Lee Drive onto southbound U.S. 19/S.R. 3 Bypass will need to stop behind the stop bar when required and follow the guidance of the traffic signal.
- Removing the yield sign on S.R. 91/Philema Road at S.R. 133/North Jefferson Street. These intersection improvements will include striping in a stop bar on the right turn lane of S.R. S.R. 91/Philema Road to S.R. 133/North Jefferson Street. Motorists turning right from S.R. 91/Philema Road onto S.R. 133/North Jefferson Street will need to stop behind the stop bar when required and follow the guidance of the traffic signal.
