ALBANY, GA -- Bee School was in full session this morning at Chehaw Park.

The SOWEGA Bee Keepers club had over 25 participants that show up for class.

The students got schooled on everything from bee equipment to the different approaches to the practice.

The last lecture of the all day event taught those who attended how the four seasons can impact the hobby.

Thom Carey Certified Bee Keeper  says "it's just a good way to get some hands on experience and to learn what you need to do to get started with bee keeping and to kind of take the mystery out of it."

If you would like to get involved with the SOWEGA Bee Keepers Club, they meet every second Thursday at 6pm at Chehaw Park.
