ALBANY, GA --
The 2nd Annual Memorial Dice Ride for Lieutenant Cliff Rouse of the Dougherty County Police Department kicked off earlier.

It's been two years since the loss of Dougherty County Police Department Lieutenant Cliff Rouse.

"This is how our department copes. We lost a family member, so we want to make sure his memory and legacy never goes away," said Dougherty County Police Department Chief Don Cheek.

Naming a bike ride in his honor seemed like a perfect choice.

Organizer Paul Murray says " he was not a motorcyclist. He did offer his time as an escort and he did it on his own time sometimes. That is what started this whole event and in turn we support him."

100 percent of the profits from this bike ride are going to benefit the Concerns of Police Survivors Foundation.

"COPS was the first group that called the chief don cheeks at three o'clock in the morning and asked them if there is anything they can do to help," Murray.
