ALBANY, GA --
In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know what problems would be present if you didn't have access to land line telephone service.
While cell phone use is extremely popular, the 911 center says people still use their landline telephones to call for help in case of emergency.
The call center also has a back up plan in case their telephone land lines go down.
Dougherty County 911 director Charlotte Floyd says "you would dial 911 just like you normally would and we would also answer wireless on our cellular phones because we do have the 911 backup cellular plan in place at that time should the 911 trunks fail."
Radio communication would be another way for emergency crews to talk back and forth with one another if service was down.
