ALBANY, GA. --
Wednesday afternoon another war hero returned home to American soil.

Michael Clemente arrived at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport to the cheers of family and friends.

Clemente along with another soldier returned from duty in Afghanistan.

More than a dozen riders with the American Legion Post 30 greeted him as he exited the plane.

“I was really shocked. I wasn't expecting it, really. I thought I was just going to fly into the airport and go out to eat. So I was really surprised,” says U.S. Army Soldier Michael Clemente.

After leaving the airport, the crew headed to the post for a steak dinner.
